Patches of Snow

"Patches of Snow"
I did this abstract in acrylic with a palette knife on a canvas panel board. The size is 8" by 10", signed and dated on the back. This is a rugged piece using sharp angles and dark colors to depict the harshness of winter in a mountain setting. I used some metallic paints to show the shimmering reflections of light off the mountain. Growing up in northern Montana, the winters were extremely harsh. So I moved to Phoenix where the summers are extremely harsh. I guess I'm a man of extremes.
